Do it: Vote for Joomla! PDF Print
Monday, 17 September 2007

Joomla, for the second year in a row, has been nominated as a finalist for the 2007 PacktPub Open Source CMS Awards. You should go vote! Not just because I'm telling you to vote but because you know you should.

The project has successfully made it to the final five, in two categories of the prestigious PacktPub open source CMS (content management systems) awards.

This year Joomla! is nominated in the Overall Winner and Best PHP Open Source CMS. They won the top prize last year and I see no reason for them not to win it again and when they do I fully expect an email with huge thanks from the entire core team.

For those of you that don't know anything about Joomla, I'll explain. Joomla! is a free, CMS written in PHP and it allows users to easily publish content on the web. Joomla is created as an open-source project where individuals and teams contribute their skills to its development as well as its supporting systems.

Joomla is packed with features and its best quality is that it is hugely flexible. Because of this flexibility, there aren't many things you can't do with it.

So, you like me agree and it deserves to win the award. To vote for Joomla, all you have to do is click here and follow the simple instructions.
