All this search engine optimisation, or SEO as it's called in the trade, started as a hobby but I've found myself putting a little emphasis on it as of late, so I've decided to enter a little competition.

The World SEO Page Rank Race starts as soon as there are enough entrants and I've applied to play. It's not a guarantee that I'll get accepted but it's a chance.

If I get in I'll be given a hosting account and a domain name and I'll have to create a brand. I'll only have six months to do it and only 50mb of space. It should be interesting if I get in.

I'll not make any predictions as this is really just a hobby and I'd fully expect to be beaten very convincingly by the professionals, but it should be an excellent learning experience and hopefully I'll pick up a few tips.

If I get accepted, I'll update on progress over the six months of the competition.
