{mosgoogle} I've picked up a new screen saver and it's not a normal one. Well it is but it changes.
It's called electric sheep screen saver and basically it connects to a server to show off the top rated screen savers on the server.
You can get it here and loads of information about it. Best of all it's free and open source.
It's run by thousands of people all over the world. It can be installed on any ordinary PC or Mac. When these computers "sleep", the screen saver comes on and the computers communicate with each other by the internet to share the work of creating morphing abstract animations known as "sheep".
The result is a collective "android dream", an homage to Philip K. Dick's novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.
