In December last year the Aston Villa Blog became the AVFC Blog mainly because I wanted to move away from the .biz TLD I had to a .com.
At the the old site had an Alexa page rank of 71,961 which made it the most visited Aston Villa site and this week, under the new TLD we hit a page rank of 68,032.
Now, the Alexa rank determines how popular a website is. So based on the Alexa rank the AVFC Blog is the 68,032nd most popular website in the World.
The next two biggest Aston Villa based sites are Heroes and Villains with 69,007 and VillaTalk with 84,192.
We have no statistic for the official club website because it is hosted by PremiumTV and they host loads of sites so the Alexa Rank isn't a fair indication of the traffic the club site is getting.
The club have told us though that they will be launching a new website fairly soon and that should be on it's own domain so we should find out fairly soon. I'll put money on it beating 5,000 or at least it should.
