In Sweden at the start of May they light a fire, it's supposed to welcome in the summer. I'm pretty sure it's a Pagan ritual, but the locals are having none of it.

This time last year the snow was pretty much all gone and spring was officially here. This year, spring is here but the snow keeps coming!
